Machined components

From basic components such as shafts, gears, and bearings to more complex workpieces found in automated lines, packaging machines, and specialty machinery of all kinds, Armoloy has developed a unique coating solution to extend the lifespan of your parts.

Armoloy TDC® provides excellent wear resistance and corrosion protection for tooling machines of all geometries. Swiss Armoloy specializes in high-precision applications and works within tight tolerances. The coating applies only 2µm to 7µm to the component surface without causing distortions or dimensional changes in the base metal.

Both Armoloy TDC® and XADC® coatings are ideal for metal-on-metal applications, reducing the friction coefficient to as low as 0.12µ and eliminating cold welding. All coatings are applicable to nearly all ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Typical applications

Typical applications include shafts, bearings, cams, gears, rollers, seals, and specialty components for automated machinery.

key benefits

The main advantages are:

  • Extension of component and system lifespan through wear resistance.
  • A thin, uniform coating that does not affect part tolerances, weight, or balance.
  • Low friction coefficient reduces surface galling, allowing components to run with reduced friction against each other.
  • Applicable to nearly all metals.
  • Cold process does not affect part geometry.
  • High-precision depositions as thin as 1µm, typical range of 2µm to 7µm.
  • High effective temperature range.
  • Improved corrosion resistance.
  • Certifiable to AMS 2438 standards.
